Creating a Gospel Culture For Your Family

Every workplace, church, school, and team has its own culture. The same is true for our homes! As parents, we are creating a culture that is the "norm" for our kids. What is it that marks the culture of your home? It could be loud or calm, sports or arts centered, television or music dominated, high anxiety or peaceful. Whatever the culture of your home, an important question for us to ask is, "Is it a culture that is marked by the gospel?"

Michael Kelley shares three obstacles that we should be aware of if we want to shape our home culture in a gospel-centered way.

Kelley writes:

"...culture will be created with or without our help. We would be wise, then, to recognize this fact and take an active role in culture formation in our surrounding environments. We ought to consider carefully not just how we talk about the gospel, but how we take an active role in forming a gospel culture in our homes."
