Are You Feeling Doubt, Fear and Anxiety?

by Tony Manning on May 12, 2020

Welcome to Take Ten at Ten with Pastor Tony!

Today Pastor Tony expands on last Sunday's sermon, Prone to Wander, teaching us about Jesus' compassionate response to our feelings of doubt, fear, and anxiety.

Jesus Gives Us Comfort and Confidence in God

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's" (Psalm 103:1-5 ESV).

  • We have a heavenly Father who watches us, guides us, and provides for us.
  • Sometimes we transfer our own parents' shortfallings to God. However, God does not fall short! He is not shocked by our doubt but rather seeks to comfort and strengthen us. Jesus could see people's hearts and helped them in their weakness.
  • Our God is approachable, conversational, and incomparable. He is always good! He satisfies us, renews our strength, and builds our confidence in his goodness.

I pray that today you will enjoy the goodness of our heavenly Father.
