Welcome to Berean!

No In-person Services This Weekend (11/28-29)
If there’s one thing we have learned through this COVID season, it is to be prepared and be flexible. We have been enjoying the freedom to meet together and worship in person since June. However, we are experiencing COVID cases within our pastors, staff, and volunteers that are creating a shortage in many areas to serve our church. We also know that families will be traveling or hosting gatherings that will put them in positions to unknowingly contract or spread the virus.

To help slow down the spreading of the virus within our staff, volunteers, and church family, we will NOT be holding in person services this weekend (Nov 28/29). We will only be holding online services that will be available for viewing and participation on Sunday morning at 9 am.

The Burnsville Campus will be closed for services (Burnsville & Lakeville), small groups, ABFs, and outside groups this weekend. The building will be open on Saturday evening from 4:30-6:30 pm and Sunday from 10:30-12:30 to drop off gifts for the Giving Tree. The church office will be open from 9-3 Monday-Friday next week.

As we are praying together these last 40 Days of 2020, would you please pray for our elders, pastors, and staff as they heal and as we navigate these choppy waters that COVID has brought us?

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families. We look forward to seeing you again at our weekend services very soon.

Pastors & Elders
Berean Baptist Church

Are you wondering what it’s like to attend a service? What to wear? How long a service will last? What your kids will do? We understand that you have questions when visiting a new church and we want you to feel right at home.

What type of church is Berean Baptist Church?

Berean is a gospel-centered community of hope with the Bible as our foundation. Our community gathers for worship at two campus locations (soon to be three) in the south metro area. Although we meet in different places, we are all part of the same church.

When and where are the services?

As a multisite church with locations in Burnsville and Lakeville, we provide a variety of convenient times and places to attend a service. The Burnsville Campus has services on Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 8:30, 9:00, 10:30, and 11. Or watch online here.

The Lakeville Campus is temporarily meeting at our Burnsville location due to COVID restrictions. We have a Sunday afternoon service at 4 p.m. with a live band and simulcast message. We also have kids programming available for ages birth - 5th grade.

What should I bring to worship service?

You will need a mask and may want to bring a bible, pen, and paper since we will not be passing these items out to limit touchpoints.

What can I expect when I arrive?

  • Doors will open 30 minutes before each service. Attendees will not be allowed into the building before that time.
  • Worship space doors will open 15 minutes before each service to allow our Clean Team time to sanitize the spaces.
  • Your entire party must be together when you enter the worship area to be seated together.
  • To maximize the number of people we can seat while allowing for proper social distancing, Ushers will seat you in the order you arrive from the front of the worship space to the rear.

What about my kids?

Programming is available on Sunday mornings for kids ages 0 - grade 5. We have limited capacity in our kids' rooms, so pre-registration is required. Once at church, you will be directed to Kids Check-in where we will help you check in your children, give you a pickup tag, and direct you to the correct room.  Go to the Berean Kids page for more on what we offer for kids, preteens, and youth.

For more information on how to register your kids and what to do when you arrive, watch this video from Tanner, our Berean Kids Director. Click here to learn how to use the Church Center App.

Weekend Kids Registration

What if I need to cancel my registration?

We get it, things come up, plans change. That's OK. We have a way for you to let us know so we can release your reservation. Just log back into the system using the link provided in your confirmation email and cancel your registration.

What are your COVID-10 procedures?

Berean has made accommodations per Minnesota mandates and CDC recommendations to keep everyone in our building safe.

  • Masks are required by everyone while inside the building at all times, even while singing. The only exceptions are those who are on the stage singing or speaking and are social distanced.
  • Outside doors will open 30 minutes before each service.
  • When the service ends, the ushers will dismiss you by row to help allow for social distancing. Please remain at your seat until your row is dismissed.
  • Following every worship service, kids program, or group meeting, our clean team sanitizes all rooms.
  • The toddler cry room, nursing room, children's rooms, and restrooms have capacity requirements posted.
  • Registration for kids programs is required to help maintain appropriate room capacities.
  • Registration for weekend services is only necessary as needed to help maintain appropriate room capacities (such as for larger services such as Christmas Eve.) At this time, we are able to maintain room capacities without requiring registration.
  • While we want you to attend in-person services, if you have COVID symptoms, or have been directly exposed to someone with COVID, we would ask that you watch on-line during the 14-day quarantine recommendation.
