Are You Listening for God's Whisper?

This week Pastor Tony is talking about Elijah the prophet. In 1 Kings 18, Elijah confronted Ahab and the prophets of Baal, and the Lord revealed himself by consuming Elijah's offering with fire. We pick up the story today in 1 Kings 19:1-18.

God Speaks in a Low Whisper

Elijah was emboldened to strike the prophets of Baal after God revealed himself to all the people. However, when Jezebel threatened Elijah, he retreated. So God reminds Elijah that God is still with him and providing for him during adversity.

As we prepare to gather at the Berean Burnsville Campus on June 20 and 21 for the faith family reunion, we need to remember some key points.

Thank God for his presence and provision during adversity.
Expect to hear God's whisper, calling us to continue to serve in our community that is still experiencing adversity and uncertainty.
Honor and glorify God. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep being the church - the hands and feet of Jesus.
