Modern Worship

Positions:

These opportunities are for individuals college-age and above.

Vocalist
Berean is always looking for singers who have hearts to lead the church in musical worship and the ability to do so with undistracting excellence. Vocalists are asked to prepare on their own during the week and then rehearse with the band before our two modern worship services each Sunday.  You don’t need to be a prolific soloist, but you do need to be comfortable singing a strong melody, carrying a harmony, and leading with your physical presence on stage as all of these will be necessary on any given week.

Instrumental
Berean’s modern worship band is typically comprised of electric guitar (lead and rhythm), acoustic guitar, drums, bass, and keyboards. Instrumentalists are asked to prepare on their own during the week and then rehearse with the vocalists before our two modern worship services each Sunday. While we like to have our own “Berean Worship” sound, we also expect each musician be able to emulate their parts from the original recordings of the songs we play. We play with a click track (metronome) and backing tracks to supplement our sound, and we use in-ear monitors so we can lock in together as a band. While we don’t currently do regular rotations, we do often have a need for fill-ins or subs for our regular players. However, as Berean grows, more opportunities to play will arise, so we would love to have a deep roster of musicians.
