Jake joined the Berean staff in July of 2024. Before moving to Minnesota in 2021, Jake pastored two churches for 30 years in Kentucky and Virginia. He has a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Virginia and an MDiv from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Jake is passionate about helping people connect with Jesus in their hardships and grow through adversity. He has published two books: Transformed Through Trials in 2022 and Jesus Help Me Have Peace in 2023.

Jake’s wife, Dana, grew up at Berean. They met in 1988 in Lusaka, Zambia, where Jake worked as a journeyman missionary, and Dana worked as a teacher in the American Embassy school. Jake and Dana both enjoy walking, riding bikes, and hosting their family and friends for visits.
