August 13-18, 2018 || One More Is Never Enough || Dr. Wes Feltner || Exodus 20:17
- The 10th Commandment is the perfect conclusion of the 10 Commandments because it centers on our desires. Pastor Wes pointed out that desires determine deeds. Our ability to obediently walk with Jesus flows from the desire of our heart. What have you found causes your desire for God to grow the most (personal devotions or prayer, corporate worship, serving the needs of others, sharing your faith, etc.)?
- Pastor Wes shared 5 tendencies that reveal where we struggle with covetousness (comparing, complaining, critiquing, consuming, and clinging). Which of these tendencies pop up the most in your life? What does that tendency reveal about what you desire?
- If coveting kills community, how can we create a faith community that demonstrates that we desire God more than the things of the world? What are practical ways we can follow Jesus' example and "give ourselves away?"
