Take about minutes during your missional community gathering to discuss what God is teaching you and how he is leading you in light of the weekend sermon.

General sharing: As Christmas nears, has there been anyone specifically you have felt convicted to share the good news of hope with? What do you think having that conversation would look like? How would their life look different if you were to share the message of hope with them? Is there anything specific that you hope that they hear if they were to come to a Christmas service with you?

Application [understanding the traits of our God helps us trust Him in humility]: Tony described God as being omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (ever-present), and omnipotent (all-powerful). Are you familiar with those words and what they mean? How did knowing these things help a 14-15year old girl who was a virgin what was going to happen to her? What are some things that have happened to you in life that if you were to go back and tell your younger self you would have had a hard time believing? How has your relationship with God matured in recent years to where you might be willing to be more like Mary and believe God?

Application [Humility helps us convey the gospel]: Read Luke 1:46-56. Can you pick out sections where humility in Mary as the author helped to promote God as the Savior? What are some ways that we as Christians can act in humility to promote God as the Savior? How does that conversation defer between when you talk to a Christian and when you talk to someone who doesn’t know Christ? What are areas where you know you need to be humbler to proclaim the gospel more clearly?
