September 17-22, 2018 || The Savior Who Sympathizes || Dr. Wes Feltner || Hebrews 1:5-2:4
Take about 25 minutes during your missional community gathering to discuss what God is teaching you and how he is leading you in light of the weekend sermon.
- General sharing: What was your main takeaway from this third sermon in the series No Going Back? Was there anything specifically about not going back in times of difficulty that stood out to you?
- Application: Our significance is defined by our creator. What are things you commonly look to in your life to define your significance? What have your found in the past to be effective at reminding you of your significance in Christ (scripture, devotional, habit, song, etc.)? Is there anything unique to this week that you can do as a reminder of your significance to Christ?
- Application: Jesus is a God who understands through his own suffering. What are your thoughts on Christs being unashamed to call you a brother or sister though knowing your past fully? Do you believe he can actually, though being God, understand the pressure of your difficulties and failures? What has prevented you from believing Jesus knows and in grace relates to your struggle? How does knowing he can relate prevent you from going back?
