In Berean Kids, we have six core values. We want these values to not just be words, but values in action. Although we post our core values in each BK room for volunteers and families to see, we want to follow up and reinforce these values with action and intentionality. Here are our core values with our strategic goals and benchmarks to make each goal happen.
We are GOSPEL-CENTERED
We make sure to point to the Gospel every week in programming. All stories in the Bible point to Jesus as our Rescuer and Savior! We strive to explain the Gospel to kids in fresh ways in both Large Group and Small Group times.
We are CHILD-TARGETED
We provide an environment and a programming strategy that is fun and engaging for kids. We evaluate and observe regularly to ensure that kids understand and embrace the teaching.
We are SMALL GROUP-FOCUSED
We yearn to engage relationally with kids through meaningful small group time. We know that investment in kids, consistently and over time, can result in kids feeling safe and open to discussing the gospel and how it applies to their life. We strive to train and mentor volunteers in small group leading.
We are SECURITY-VALUED
We have important safety protocols that must be clear and followed. We put all volunteers through a consistent screening process to ensure maximum safety and security for families.
We are EXCELLENCE DRIVEN
We want to provide quality teaching and instruction to kids of all ages. We work on being organized, consistent, and impactful so the Gospel can reach kids in unique and lasting ways.
We are PRAYER-GUIDED
We value prayer and intentionally pray for our staff, families, and volunteers. We pray with volunteers before each service in which we serve, and we have volunteers pray with kids weekly. Prayer is the foundation of all we do.
