Berean Kids Wednesday nights is coming back in September! After taking off the 2020-2021 year, we are re-launching with a new name, BK Wednesdays. We are so excited to have our younger kids (Pre-K through Grade 3) back in our building on Wednesdays to spend time in God’s Word so that they know God’s truths. According to AWANA’s Resilient Disciples website,
“Kids who know the Bible can: navigate a changing culture, build a strong foundation of faith, and love Jesus for the rest of their lives.”
This year for pre-k and kindergarten, we will be utilizing AWANA’s Cubbies curriculum. Each week, these kids will learn about Christ’s love for them and the grace and forgiveness that comes only through Jesus. Although we will not be doing handbooks or vests this year in Cubbies, you can purchase a handbook from the Awana website to follow along with at home.
For Grade 1-3, we will be launching a new curriculum called Brite. Brite curriculum is produced by AWANA and is built on a proven philosophy: Resilient Child Discipleship. Resilient Child Discipleship is made up of three components working together: Belong, Believe, Become.
Belong: Highly relational ministry led by loving and caring adults
Believe: Deeply Scriptural ministry rooted in the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Gospel
Become: Truly experiential ministry, designed to move kids from simulation to real-world application of faith-based living
Through engaging large group and relationship building small groups, kids will spend time reading God’s Word and applying these truths to navigate a changing culture. We want to see these kids build a strong, Biblical foundation of faith and become resilient disciples.
