Link: How To Respond When Teens Have Difficult Questions

by Ben Holden on February 13, 2020

From Pastor Ben:

We all get questions from our teens. Often the questions that strike the most fear in us are questions about God, the Bible, and faith. Aldridge gives us great encouragement and five points from Deuteronomy 6 to consider when we get these questions. We want to take them seriously and point our teens to the redemptive message of the gospel. Aldridge writes:

"How do we handle this increasing complexity as parents? Of course, we know that we should turn to God’s Word. But what are we looking for when we get there? The ultimate answer is Jesus, of course. Jesus is the center point of the Bible—and not just the Bible but of all of history. Jesus is the truest Truth. He is also the way and the life; he’s the only way to the Father (John 14:6). When the questions get difficult, our job as parents is to help our kids find answers. But, as we do, we must point to Christ along the way."
