Is Your Home Centered On The Gospel or Your Kids? by Jamie Ivey

It is good and right for us to love our kids and to care for them. But is it possible that they can take our attention away from what is most important? Can we actually place too much of our energy and attention on our kids to a point that we lose sight of what God has called us too?
Jamie Ivey offers some great thoughts to how our kids can become the center of our world in a negative way and how to keep the home centered on Christ:
...we want our kids to love God with all their hearts, minds, and souls. We want our kids to see a family—a mom and dad—that is willing to do whatever it takes to love God more and tell others about Him. We desire for our kids to be world-changers for the Lord, and it could be hard for them to give themselves away for the gospel when the only example set by their parents is us giving our lives away for them.
