Jeff Utecht

Interim Classic Worship Director

Jeff joined Berean's staff in the spring of 2022. He holds a B.A. in Music Education from Augsburg College and a Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary. Jeff has 48-plus years of ministry experience, including his roles as choir director, youth pastor, and lead pastor at churches in Minnesota.

He relishes time with family and friends and has been married to his wife, Lori, for 47 years. Together, they have two children and eight grandchildren who are all the never-ending joy of his life.

Jeff enjoys doing home improvement projects for family, traveling, walking, talking, worshiping, entertaining, watching grandkids, and spending time with Lori. He enjoys countless hours as a certified official for the MN State High School Cross Country/Track and Field Sports in the spring and fall. He also lends his voice to announcing boys’ and girls’ varsity hockey, soccer, and lacrosse for Eastview High School.
