One Day We Will Worship Jesus in His Presence

Psalm 122 is part of the Song of Ascents written for the tribes of Israel as they made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem to worship God in his temple. The tone of the Psalm is joyful as the people come in peace and pray for peace.

For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good (Psalm 122:9 ESV).

It's been a long time since our Berean faith family has been able to worship God together on our campuses, so it's especially emotional - joyful - to gather together again. Meeting together is a privilege that we might have taken for granted before the pandemic but we won't in the future.

Gathering for worship is important, and I'm thankful that we could gather online during the early phases of the pandemic. Now we look forward to worshipping together again - some of us in person and others from their homes. Wherever you need to be for your comfort level and safety, we are still worshipping God together as a faith family.

Continue to seek the goodness of the LORD now. And we can all look forward to the day when we will worship our risen Savior, the Lamb of God, in his presence. What a day that will be!

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city, also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever (Revelation 22:1-5 ESV).
