Earlier this summer, I went to summer camp with a bunch of middle schoolers. After making it back in one piece, I started to reflect on the awesome time we had together. It was so great to see them gather with their friends, do crazy games, have Bible study groups, and worship together in person. We missed camp so much last year because of COVID, and I am glad that we were able to do camp again this year.
One of the things I am most excited about is the opportunity these students have as they return from camp to their lives and the world where Jesus needs to be shared and displayed. At camp, students were hearing about the gospel, diving deep into the Word, and worshiping alongside their friends for a whole week and then all that suddenly comes to a halt, and the routines of life go back to normal.
What's next? How is life different for them now?
Students need to know that just because camp ends, they are still active participants in the Church now!
Students are part of the Church NOW
We all need to realize and believe that students are part of God’s Family aka The Church NOW and not just in the distant future. The quicker students realize they are a part of something much bigger than just a group of students who gather for youth group, the quicker they will be to realize that they too can have incredible gospel witness and impact to those around them RIGHT NOW!
Dare 2 Share helps kids share the Gospel
Dare 2 Share is a great resource to help equip teenagers to be involved in the Church NOW. If you are not familiar with the organization, Dare 2 Share exists to equip teenagers to share the gospel with their friends. After coming back from camp, I wanted to share this website as a resource for those who are looking for ways to help further equip teenagers to be on mission to their friends and share Jesus with confidence.
A lot of people are looking for hope and Jesus is HOPE!
