There are a number of different ways that we can engage our kids in discipleship and have an impact for generations. It is important to directly teach our kids, to disciple them through the everyday moments of life, and to emulate a life of faith. The most impactful thing that we can give to our children and grandchildren is the very Word of God.
Sam Luce talks about the impact that a Bible can have. In fact, he has taken the opportunity to use specific Bibles during his personal study that he will one day pass down to his kids and grandkids, filled with his study notes. What an incredible idea!
Luce writes:
"The reality is that one day I won’t be here anymore. I will be absent in body but present with Christ. How do I want to be remembered by my grandkids? What do I want them to think of when they think of me? I hope that my life will be small, and He to whom I point will be large."
