Terry Carlson
Elder
Terry grew up in a Christ-centered home. God graciously convicted him of his sin at the age of seven, giving him the desire to repent and trust Christ as his Savior. He often reflects on where he would be had God not loved him first! Terry and his wife, Connie, have been happily married for 52 years and are so grateful for their 5 children and 18 grands.
Terry and Connie love Berean, first joining as newlyweds in 1972. After 40 years away in Michigan working for the federal government, they were drawn back to Minnesota, happy to find that Berean’s DNA and core values had not changed. Terry’s leadership roles at a Baptist church in Michigan helped prepare him for a six-year stint on Berean’s Elder Board from 2015 to 2021.
Terry began serving again as a Berean Elder in 2024. Currently, he also teaches the Conquerors Adult Bible Fellowship. One of his greatest passions is witnessing God’s Word transform lives, including his own. Terry has a big-picture outlook on church body life, which he finds helpful in oversight and decision-making.
