  2. How did you see God in your life this last week? Where there any prayers that you saw answered?
  3. Was there anything in the sermon this week that influenced how you see the Holy Spirit in prayer?

Application: The Spirit Gives Life

  1. Read 2 Corinthians 3:1-18. Has there ever been an instance where you felt like you should share about your faith, but you were embarrassed or afraid to do so?
  2. What do you think some are some of the things we are believing about our faith when we are embarrassed or afraid to share it?
  3. What do you think are some of the assumptions our culture and outsiders have about our faith?
  4. Read 2 Corinthians 3:4-6. What does Paul mean that the letter kills but the Spirit gives life?
  5. How does knowing that the Spirit gives life embolden you to share the gospel?

Application: Holy Spirit Gives Freedom

  1. Read verse 14. What does it mean that their minds were hardened?
  2. After being a Christian for several years, what are ways that our minds can be hardened? What are some of the things we tend to get sidetracked by focusing on?
  3. Verse 17 says there is freedom where the Spirit of the Lord is. What is this freedom and as older Christians how to we regain sight of it?
