Team KID: 5 Things to Anticipate

by Tanner Pinkerman on August 19, 2019

As you have heard, we are launching a brand-new Wednesday night program for our preschool and elementary kids. We have been diligently planning behind the scenes and are getting more and more excited as we plan. Here are five things to look forward to with Team KID.

1. We will have intentional small group time.

Each night, small groups will have an opening check-in time where they connect on what’s going on in their lives as well as introduce the topic for the night. Then they’ll dig into the word as they apply what they learned in the Bible story through activities and discussion. They’ll end every night with prayer requests and intentional prayer time. These kids will get to know their small group leader and will be engaged, loved and developed for the gospel.

2. There will be an amped large group time.

In our large group time, kids will sing worship songs as they’re led by a live worship team that will engage and teach them actions for a fully engaging and meaningful time of worship. They’ll also play games, watch mission videos and hear an interactive creative Bible story.

3. Scripture memory will be a weekly priority.

There are intentional activities, games, and interactions that will help kids memorize a new Bible verse every week. The Bible verse will be reinforced and instilled as they grow in God’s truth through creative and fun ways.

4. Kids can invite their friends.

Not only can kids start coming to Team KID anytime throughout the year, but they also can invite friends to come along and take part. Our kids can be the greatest evangelists, and this gives them a great opportunity to reach out to the kids around them.

5. Parents will be equipped to disciple their kids.

Each week our Parent Prep email will include a family devotional for the upcoming weekend’s lesson as well as a devotional for the upcoming Wednesday lesson. Parents can talk with their kids both prior to and following their time in Team KID as they engage in what they’re learning.

There is so much more, and I could go on and on about the things that excite and encourage us about Team KID. We can't wait to get started!
